Commander-in-Chief (Air) Myanmar Air Force

He attended No.(20) Defense Services Academy and was second lieutenant of Myanmar Air Force on 26 January 1979. He attended No.(41) pilot training course in 1979. He completed conversion courses of SF-260, PC-6 light transport, Beech, Turbo Thrush. FH-227, F-27, PC-7, Cessna-180 and X-air. After completing conversion course of Turbo Thrush aircraft in USA, he participated in Anti Narcotic campaign of Taung Yan Shin Operation. He was assigned duty step by step as squadron pilot, GSO III (Training & Planning), flying instructor, chief instructor of flying, deputy squadron commander, squadron commander, wing commander, base commander and Chief of Staff(Air).

Since 14 February 2013, he has been serving as Commander-in-Chief (Air) and was promoted to General on 13 February 2014. On 18 August 2015, General Khin Aung Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air), is concurrently serving the duty of chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air). He was awarded General Service Medal, People’s war Medal, Maing Yan/Me Tha Waw Battle Stars Medal, Distinguished Services Medal, State Peace and Tranquillity Medal, Myanmar Naing Ngan Military In-service Thingaha Medal and the ‘Zaya Kyaw Htin’ Title.
